The tradition of "Chianti Colli Senesi"
Among the rows of vines, the very heart of the Sienese hills
Novelleto is situated within the Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG region, an area with a long tradition of wine-making, where the landscape is characterised by vineyards and rolling hills.
Grape growing is the main focus of our farming activities. We tend to the vines in accordance with the principles of organic farming, caring for them throughout the seasons, from the first spring shoots right through to the ripening of the bunches.
It is work that requires perseverance, care and respect, and which binds us deeply to the history and identity of this region.
Small harvests, great traditions
Authenticity comes from simple things
Alongside the vineyards, the olive trees and our vegetable garden complete the agricultural landscape of Novelleto. These crops are an integral part of the family’s daily life and preserve the authentic flavour of the Tuscan farming tradition.
Every season has something different to offer: olives ripening on the trees, vegetables growing in the vegetable patch and fruit picked at just the right time. These small gestures and harvests speak to the joy of living in close contact with nature.
When autumn paints our land in colour
In Novelleto, every season has its own charm, but autumn brings with it a truly special atmosphere. It is harvest time, when the grapes reach full ripeness and work in the vineyards enters one of its most crucial phases. The days gradually grow shorter, the light becomes softer and the hills begin to take on shades of gold, red and amber. The vineyard and the woodland take on a new look, whilst the air is filled with the scents of the earth and the advancing season. It is a moment that captures the full beauty of rural life: a cycle that renews itself every year, marked by nature and human labour.

A commitment that looks to the future
From nature, the resources to look after it
Over the years, we have adopted solutions that enable us to make the most of natural resources and reduce our impact on the environment.
A wood-fired boiler provides heating during the winter months, whilst solar panels help generate the electricity required for the farm’s operations. For our farming activities, we also use a rainwater harvesting system, as rainwater is a precious resource that must be conserved and used carefully.
These are practical choices, born of a desire to live and work in harmony with the land that sustains us.
